Our History

The Clear-tone Building

Founded in 1984 by brothers, Jim and Mike Feeley. Clear-tone is well-known for its familiar signature tone, used in commercials and on the web site, and because of spokespersons and long-time television and community personalities, Bob Hower and Betty Boyd. Both Bob and Betty wear PAC hearing instruments, the latest in digital hearing technology, invented by Clear-tone’s owners and manufactured in Tulsa. For a quarter of a century, more people have trusted Clear-tone with their hearing care than any other facility in the area. In that time, Clear-tone’s owners have also changed the hearing industry by developing the first-ever speaker-in-the-canal hearing instrument, designed to eliminate traditional fitting challenges—discomfort, lack of cosmetic appeal, inferior sound quality— and provide a simple, same session fit.

Introduced to the industry in 2003, today, speaker-in-the-canal hearing instruments have become the fastest growing product style worldwide.

Simple to fit, service and repair, with the PAC, hearing care professionals have more time for patient care and counseling, while patients experience superior sound quality and comfort.

Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Clear-tone is a privately-held company and one of the only retail dispensing facilities in the world with on-site manufacturing.
